TOP 10 ARTISTS~
I have always been into art mainly because of my dad’s love
for music and painting. From a very young age I was influenced to appreciate
both the Western and Eastern love of art (plus my whole family did art). My
interest in art grew from there and since then I did art for HSC and loved
listening and creating art in all forms (dancing, singing, origami, etching,
lino prints etc). Doing paper cutting as my art form for HSC Visual Arts, I grew
a fond liking of contemporary art and hence the artist Ai Wei Wei greatly
inspired me. To me, art is not only viewed in museums but also takes shape in
both dance and music. It’s important to express yourself and find your own
passion but here are a few that have inspired me so far…
Flume (music artist)
Claude Monet (painter, sculptor, sketcher)
Dean (music artist)
The Kinjaz (dance crew)
Ai WeiWei (Chinese contemporary artist)
Pablo Picasso (painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright)
Hina Aoyama (paper cutting artist)
Banksy (graffiti artist)
Coldplay (music artist)
Snakehips (music artist)
